Lefko. Details and given second life to garments.

Lefko is an independent clothing brand founded by Mihalis and Jo, centred around simplicity, natural materials, and thoughtful design. The brand focuses on timeless linen garments in their purest state — undyed, breathable, and minimal — allowing the natural beauty and texture of the fabric to speak for itself. Lefko stands for slow fashion, comfort, and pieces designed to live with the wearer over time.

We first met in Athens in 2022 when Mihalis and Jo attended a natural dye workshop in my studio. That meeting sparked the beginning of an ongoing collaboration. Soon after, we began creating naturally dyed silk ties designed to pair with their sandals — combining their clean aesthetic with the organic colours and textures of plant dyes.

In 2023, another idea emerged.

Since Lefko’s garments are produced in undyed white or grey linen, some pieces occasionally developed small marks or stains during production and could no longer be sold. Instead of letting these garments go to waste, we decided to give them a second life through natural dyeing. Each year we now create a small limited collection where these pieces are transformed with plant dyes, extending their life while embracing the beauty of natural colour and sustainable practice.
