Rhea Kalo x Christiana Vardakou

Ceramics and Natural Dyeing joined together, to create a specially colourful blend. For this collaboration, I chose to honour the bundle dyeing technique - a technique that for me screams “spring”.

I created samples for Rhea, and she chose three, the “hibiscus” print, the “chamomile” print and the “black rose” print. She used these three bundle dye designs to create something similar on her ceramic collection. This is how the splatter technique started emerging in her ceramics, and how our collaborative dinnerware collection was born.

This collaboration ended with a beautiful event to celebrated the launch of this collection and Rhea Kalo’s new showroom in Kifisia.
