"Tinos" Hand-Woven Naturally Dyed Cotton Cushion Cover

€160.00
Sold Out

This hand-woven pillowcase is crafted in our Athens studio using undyed cotton warp and naturally dyed cotton wefts. Each thread carries the subtle variations and depth that only plant dyes can create, making every piece completely unique.

The cotton yarns are dyed using natural dyes including indigo, cutch, onion skins, avocado stones, jackfruit, and alkanet, resulting in a rich palette of earthy and botanical tones.

The back of the pillow features an undyed cotton fabric sourced from Kyoto, Japan. The pillowcase is designed with an envelope closure, allowing the cushion to slide inside easily without the need for zips.

Size: approximately 44 × 47 cm

This listing is for the pillowcase only (no filling included).

Natural Dyeing

Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!

Weaving

Christiana started weaving in university, but really felt in love with weaving while travelling in Asia. One of her favourite techniques is ikat. In the studio Christiana uses her big floor loom to weave items for the home such as table and bed runners, pillows, placemats as well as custom orders for rugs, blankets and throws.
