"Nature II" Eco Printed Raw Silk Cushion Cover

A one-of-a-kind cushion cover made from textured raw silk and naturally dyed in our Athens atelier using botanical eco printing techniques.

The silk was eco printed with a selection of leaves collected in Greece, including plane tree, eucalyptus, walnut, fern, geranium, oak, and jasmine. During the steaming process, the plants release their natural pigments, leaving delicate botanical impressions on the fabric.

After printing, the textile was gently overdyed with cutch, a natural dye derived from acacia wood, creating warm earthy tones.

Machine sewn in our Athens studio by Violetta and finished with a simple envelope closure.

Bundle Dyeing

Our favourite technique, a contemporary process where we use fresh and dried flowers to create prints on fabric. Each one is unique, and even if we wanted to we can't create the same pattern twice!

Natural Dyeing

Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!
