This elegant silk pillowcase and sleep mask set is naturally dyed using traditional botanical dye techniques. The silk was undyed and sourced from Soufli, Greece. The textile was first naturally dyed with sticklac by Christiana, producing rich rose tones, and then over-dyed with natural indigo by Christiana, adding depth and complexity to the colour.
This layered dyeing process creates a soft marbled texture across the silk.
Silk is naturally smooth and gentle on both skin and hair, making this set ideal for restful sleep and daily self-care rituals.
Both pieces are machine sewn by Violeta in our Athens-based studio, combining traditional natural dyeing with careful craftsmanship.

Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!
