"Purple" Eco-Printed Linen Placemats – Set of Four

€120.00

A set of four naturally dyed and eco-printed linen placemats, handcrafted in Greece using traditional plant-based dyeing techniques.

The linen was woven in Tripoli, Greece, and dyed with logwood bark. Each placemat was then eco-printed by Christiana using oak leaves, ferns, and plane tree leaves that she personally collected in the forests of Pelion. During the eco-printing process, the natural pigments and tannins from the leaves transfer directly onto the fabric, leaving behind detailed botanical imprints.

No two placemats are identical—each carries the organic marks of the plants used, making every single unique.

The edges are finished with an overlocked seam by Violeta.

Natural Dyeing

Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!
