"Sun" Botanical Bundle Dyed Organic Cotton Throw

This naturally dyed cotton throw is created using traditional bundle dyeing techniques.

The fabric is 100% organic cotton from Tripoli, Greece. It was bundle dyed by Christiana using a variety of natural dye materials including onion skins, walnut husks, annatto seeds, chamomile flowers, fustic chips and madder roots. These plants create layered tones ranging from warm browns and golden yellows to soft terracotta hues.

After dyeing, the throw was machine sewn by Maria in our Athens-based studio.
Size: approximately 195 × 120 cm

This piece can be used as a light blanket, sofa throw, bed accent, or decorative textile for the home.

Natural Dyeing

Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!
