Natural Dyeing
Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!
This blanket is created using natural indigo dye and a traditional dip-dye technique, resulting in a soft gradient of deep blue tones.
The blanket is made from 100% organic cotton woven in Tripoli, Greece. The fabric was naturally dyed with indigo by Christiana, carefully dipped into an indigo vat to create a subtle transition between white and blue.
The dip-dye technique highlights the beauty of indigo and the unpredictable nature of natural dyeing, producing gentle tonal variations across the fabric.
This versatile textile can be used as a light blanket, baby blanket, sofa throw, meditation textile, or decorative home accent.
