Akita Copper Naturally Dyed Silk Maxi Dress
A flowing silk slip dress. Beginning with undyed silk from Soufli, Greece, the fabric is first naturally dyed with cutch bark, then bundle dyed with hibiscus flowers, annatto seeds, cochineal and peony petals. Finally, it is over-dyed in a natural indigo vat, creating rich layers of warm earth tones, mossy greens and subtle botanical textures.

Natural Dyeing
Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!
