Each coaster is hand-woven by Christiana on our studio’s floor loom in Athens. The warp combines un-dyed and indigo-dyed cotton yarns, while the weft is made from cotton yarns naturally dyed in our studio using plant dyes including cutch bark, indigo, chamomile and marigolds.

The edges are overlocked by Violetta in our Athens studio to ensure durability.

Each piece carries subtle variations in colour and texture, making every set truly one of a kind.

Perfect for everyday moments — morning coffee, tea with friends, or slow afternoons at home.

Natural Dyeing

Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!

 

Weaving

Christiana started weaving in university, but really felt in love with weaving while travelling in Asia. One of her favourite techniques is ikat. In the studio Christiana uses her big floor loom to weave items for the home such as table and bed runners, pillows, placemats as well as custom orders for rugs, blankets and throws.
