"Christiana" Botanical Bundle Dyed Silk Pillowcase

€130.00
Sold Out

The silk is undyed and sourced from Soufli, Greece. It was bundle dyed by Christiana using peony petals, onion skins, logwood bark and walnut leaves.

During the bundle dye process, the plants are wrapped tightly inside the silk and steamed, allowing the pigments and tannins to transfer directly onto the fabric. This creates unique botanical patterns and natural colour variations, meaning no two pieces can ever be the same.

Silk’s naturally smooth surface helps reduce friction on hair and skin, making it ideal for a luxurious and gentle sleep experience.

The pillowcase is machine sewn by Violeta in our Athens-based studio.
Envelope closure so the pillow remains hidden
• Size: approximately 50 × 70 cm

Bundle Dyeing

Our favourite technique, a contemporary process where we use fresh and dried flowers to create prints on fabric. Each one is unique, and even if we wanted to we can't create the same pattern twice!

Natural Dyeing

Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!
