Purple Bundle Dyed Linen Cushion Cover

A naturally dyed linen cushion cover created using the bundle dye technique. The un-dyed linen fabric from France is dyed by Christiana using logwood bark, elderberries, sticklac and hibiscus, creating soft pink and berry tones with organic patterns.

The cushion is the same on both sides and finished with an envelope closure at the back. Each piece is machine sewn by Violetta in our Athens-based studio.

Bundle Dyeing

Our favourite technique, a contemporary process where we use fresh and dried flowers to create prints on fabric. Each one is unique, and even if we wanted to we can't create the same pattern twice!

Natural Dyeing

Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!
