Natural Dyeing
Botanical dyeing is a slow process, that can be unpredictable and there are often pleasant colour surprises. It takes several hours to extract the natural pigment from plants, sometimes even days!
This knotted headband is naturally dyed by Christiana in two stages: first with oak galls, then over-dyed with logwood bark to create its rich, almost-black tone.
The soft silk and knotted design make it an elegant yet effortless accessory for everyday wear. An elasticated section provides a comfortable, flexible fit suitable for most head sizes.
Each headband is machine sewn by Violeta in our Athens-based studio. Due to the natural dyeing process, subtle variations in colour may occur, making every piece unique.
