Summer PopUp Store at the Four Seasons in Astir Palace with Maggoosh

This commission was created for Maggoosh as part of their summer pop-up store at Four Seasons Astir Palace.

A series of silk panels were naturally dyed using indigo, developed through an ombre process that moves from soft, airy tones into deeper ocean blues. The gradient was designed in direct response to the location—echoing the shifting colours of the sea, the horizon, and the changing light throughout the day.

The panels act as both backdrop and atmosphere for the jewellery. Rather than presenting the pieces on neutral or static surfaces, the dyed silk introduces depth, softness, and a sense of movement. The ombre creates a visual field where the jewellery appears to float—held somewhere between sky and water.

Each display is carefully composed: delicate gold pieces are placed against the lighter tones, where they catch and reflect the light, while deeper blues create contrast and quiet intensity. The subtle irregularities of natural dyeing allow the background to remain alive, never flat—enhancing the presence of each piece without overwhelming it.

This project explores how textiles can shape not only space, but perception—transforming the act of viewing jewellery into a more sensory and atmospheric experience, rooted in place.
