Fykiada Retreats and objects carrying essence of the sea

In collaboration with  Fykiada, a boutique wellness retreat concept rooted in the Cycladic islands, we came together to create objects that carry the essence of the sea, rest, and ritual.

Fykiada designs intimate, carefully curated retreats that bring people closer to nature, movement, and themselves. Their philosophy centers on simplicity, connection, and a slower rhythm of living—offering space to pause, feel, and return to what is essential. Each retreat blends island culture, daily practices, nourishing food, and meaningful human connection in small, intentional groups.

For this year’s collaboration, I created a series of handmade textile pieces inspired by the Aegean landscape.

The tote bags were crafted from natural fabrics and hand-batiked one by one, making each piece entirely unique. The design reflects the fluidity of the sea—an abstract interpretation of movement, water, and salt. Each bag was then naturally dyed with indigo, allowing the depth of blue to echo the shifting tones of the Greek waters.

Alongside them, I developed linen eye pillows, also hand-batiked individually with a delicate shell motif, making every piece one of a kind. Naturally dyed with indigo, they were filled with lavender and flax seeds and designed to be used after yoga or during meditation—offering a gentle sensory experience that supports rest and grounding.

This collaboration builds on an ongoing relationship with Fykiada, evolving each year through new forms, materials, and stories—always rooted in a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, nature, and the quiet beauty of intentional living.
